fair & square in Ambiente 2010 - Frankfurt 12-16 Feb 2010

Thanks to the CBI support programme, fair & square will be at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt next february from the 12th to the 16th.
We will join other exhibitors from different parts of the world in a large stand hosted by CBI.
We are really pleased to be given this opportunity and look forward to see you all at this impotant event.

Ethical Fashion Show - Paris

We will visit the Ethical Fashion Show from 1st to 4th October 2009 at the Tapis Rouge in Paris.

The only trade show entirely devoted to ethical fashion. 100 designers from all over the world, fashion shows, seminars and workshops in the respact of people and of the environment.

This is by far the most intresting and farseeing event in ethical fashion.

Bio Ethical Sustainable Trend - Cittadellarte Fashion - Biella

A turning point in the italian fashion industry!
Yesterday has been presented to the public and the media the first results of the project Bio Ethical Sustainable Trend organized by Michelangelo Pistoletto (artist) and Franca Sozzani (Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia since 1988). Eleven young fashion designers presented the look they created from a selection of ethically sourced Italian textiles.
Franca Sozzani declared "A magazine, i believe, has a mission and Vogue, as 'the' fashion magazine also has a responsability to help the readers understand not only the ephemeral side of fashion, but also the ethical side."
During the conference a new editorial project focused on ethical fashion, called EVER Manifesto was lounched with a clear statement: "Everlution Fashion is change and reinvention. Susteinability is just the next step. Break the rhythm of fashion. March to a new drum."

In September at Cittadellarte the talk is going to be about fashion with an event dedicated to responsible fashion.

23 September 2009 - February 2010

In 2009 - the year dedicated to natural fibre - Cittadellarte investigates fashion by launching an initiative born from the contamination between art with social responsibility and that part of the fashion world searching for a new model for ethical and sustainable development.

Cittadellarte Fashion – Bio Ethical Sustainable Trend is opening a workshop in Biella dedicated to the development of fashion based on the principles of sustainability.
The opening will be on the 22nd of September with an exhibition event aimed at connecting creativity, production, marketing and consumer awareness, through the presentation of sustainable products ranging from raw material to finished product, valorised by designers selected by Franca Sozzani and Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The event will open with a working conference that will have the participation of several personalities from different fields such as fashion, industry and sustainability, arts and research. During the working conference on the 22nd of September, Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco, Alexia Niedzielski, Elizabeth von Guttman will present in preview EVER MANIFESTO her editorial project on ecology and sustainability.

The meeting, the presentation of the clothing created by the young designers and the exhibition to be inaugurated on the 22nd of September are not an ephemeral, one-off events but the start of a process, the opening of a place of work, exchange and research. The combination of various factors distinguishes and valorises this centre. These factors essentially consist of the identity of the Biella district, internationally renowned as a pole of textile excellence, and the activities of Cittadellarte, which commits art to the sustainable development of society.

The exhibition, the clothing created by the fashion designers, textiles and textile material of the companies that participated and the mirror artwork “Prima Scena - La presentazione” by M. Pistoletto, will be visible to the public from 23 September 2009, at the new spaces Cittadellarte.

Finally we got the official invitation to participate in the next edition of Ambiente in Frankfurt.

Ambiente is the bigger gift fair in Europe and fair & square will be there.
